Creating a painting is something that takes time...Although I have done a painting in one day, as a mom, wife and 40 hour a weeker at my paying job, I just don't have the time to pull that off really....everytime I look at a painting and think I will finish that one tonight, inevitabley, 2 days later is done :) LOL
My smaller paintings I could do over the weekend if I put the time in, but I like my work to look finished and not rushed....
Okay, those are my thoughts for today...

Wow what a busy weekend!! Got to work on my giraffe painting and I am really happy with it. Who says you can't paint a giraffe with hot pink and purple spots??? I think there should be a new painting movement called "Interpretationism"

Wow, what a busy time of year!!!! As ane emerging artist one of my big goals this coming year is to have a good amount of works done so I can enter Art Shows and hopefully find representation at a Gallery.....So far, the year is starting off well as I will be a featured artist in July at The Joseph Sisters Contemporary Art Gallery !!!!! yeah, I am so excited and now busy getting a good amount of paintings together for the show. I am always looking for new inspiration and ideas and hopefully everyone will enjoy what has been in my mind lately. The latest painting I added to the site I put as Unknown in the title because I wasn't sure what to call it, but a good friend had an idea, and I rearranged some words but I think I will call it " The Melted Rainbow Stampede " When you look at my Gallery under Horse/Equine, you will know exactly which painting I am referring to.
Enjoy and check back often for new postings.

Happy New Year
I am happy to report that things are really kicking into motion these days. I will be the featured artist at the Joseph Sisters Contemporary Gallery the 4 week in July...I am very excited about this and need to really buff up my collections..Altough I am still painting my horses, I am going to start a few new one with Moose,Cows,Rams,Goats and whatever else I come across that inspires me. Funny, my mom told me to paint dogs and cats, so I got online last week and started looking at pictures...Sadly, I could not find any inspiration in kitties at the moment, maybe someday. You will also see some giraffe's, elephants and perhaps a monkey or two!!!!
Let's get this party started.

It just occured to me, an idea for a series....or even a name for what I am now painting with an ironic twist....I live in Wildwood, one of my favorite restuaranst is the Wildhorse Grill and I am currently painting fabulously wild looking horses/equines. So hence the name of this series I am currently working on will be called..................
"Wildhorse Series"
